XM satellite home of BCS, Bode Miller Launches SkiSpace.com
XM will be
the exclusive satellite radio network for all five Bowl Championship Series
(BCS) football games in January 2008.
XM will air the Allstate BCS National Championship,
the FedEx Orange Bowl, the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, the AllState Sugar Bowl, and the
Rose Bowl Presented by Citi to its 8.5 million subscribers. “With the
expansion of college football on XM this season, more than 1.3 million
listeners are tuning into XM every Saturday to hear the games,” said Eric
Logan, XM executive vice president, programming. “XM is now the satellite
radio home for all five BCS games, which bolsters our standing as the ultimate
destination for college sports fans.”
Miller, a US Ski racer, has launched the web 2.0 social network, entitled
SkiSpace.com. The online community seeks to be the definitive destination for
ski and snow sports enthusiasts around the world. Miller, who co-owns
SkiSpace.com, will serve as CEO of the company, which is being launched by
PathConnect.com. PathConnect’s founder Ryan Blair, will serve as COO.
