CBSSports.com wins Technology & Engineering Emmy

The winners of the 59th Annual Technology & Engineering
Emmy Awards were announced last night at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas where
the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is underway. CBSSports.com and
CBS Sports were honored for their production of March Madness on Demand, the
online video experience that provides live streaming video of the NCAA Division
I Men’s Basketball Championship.

March Madness on Demand was the winner in the category of Outstanding
Achievement in Advanced Media Technology for Synchronous Enhancement of
Original Television Content For Interactive Use (Two Screen Environment TV /PC
or TV / Mobile Device)

The other nominees in the category were:

MLB.com GameDay with Pitch — F/X – MLBAM,

RaceView on NASCAR.com — Turner Sports/Sportvision

MLB Extra Innings Interactive – DIRECTV.

The March
Madness on Demand player allows users to keep up with the rest of the
tournament with live scoreboards, a live and updating bracket and even access
historical video clips from great NCAA Tournaments in the past.
