TriCaster to Power the Cisco 2008 NHL All-Star All-Access Show

The National Hockey League has chosen TriCaster, its
portable production and virtual set system, to live stream the Cisco 2008 NHL
All-Star All-Access Show on Sunday, January 27, at 3:30 pm EST on NHL.com. The
program, which is sponsored by Cisco, precedes the 2008 National Hockey League
All-Star Game and will give fans a behind the scenes look at happenings on the
scene surrounding this premier sporting event from Philips Arena in
Atlanta, Georgia
.

“Quite simply, our live ’All Access’ Web show at the NHL
All-Star Game, which will be powered by NewTek’s TriCaster STUDIO, opens the
door for us to improve the NHL fan experience,” says Andre Mika, VP, Broadband
and New Media, NHL. “Those who follow hockey worldwide will have a level of
access to the game and their favorite players like never before.”

“This expanded coverage of the NHL All-Star Game is a hockey
fan’s dream, and we are very excited that the TriCaster was chosen to give
hockey fans ‘VIP passes’ to this star-studded event,” said Philip Nelson,
NewTek’s Sr. Vice President, Strategic Development. “As several leading sports
organizations and broadcasters have found — including the NHL, NBA and FOX
Sports — the functionality of the TriCaster makes it an ideal tool for
reaching audiences online and realizing additional revenue stream
opportunities.”
