SDTV Merges Style and Function with HDLA

SDTV, a pioneer in remote multi-camera television
production, will debut its new multi-format HD production and uplink truck, HD
Expandolink (HDLA), at NAB 2008 (Booth # 0E331). With the release of this
state-of-the-art mobile unit, SDTV once again sets the standard of power and
performance within the industry.

The economic realities of the broadcast television landscape
demand efficiency and value, so in response, SDTV (Satellite Digital
Teleproductions) has developed hybrid facilities with superior infrastructures
and innovative designs. The physical layout of the vehicles and equipment
compliments make the HD Link, ExpandoLink and HD Expandolink (HDLA) units
perfect for entertainment, sports, news and corporate remote broadcasts.
With all of the features and
benefits of its sister ship, ExpandoLink, HDLA is the nation’s first expanding
HD multi-camera production and transmission mobile unit. Style and
function merge in the ergonomic 40-foot hybrid vehicle.
HDLA is equipped with up to
10 Sony HDC-1550 cameras and is capable of supporting 4 networked EVS’s and 8
VTR’s. All monitoring is HD/SD compatible with a Calrec Zeta audio console and
Sony MVS 8000 80 input 4 M/E switcher.

With its smaller footprint and full complement of equipment
and features, ExpandoLink helped change the paradigm in remote broadcasting.
ExpandoLink’s design makes the best use of engineering space; the street side
monitor wall makes the production room equivalent to the feel of a six rack-wide
trailer and the expanding portion of the truck provides an additional 45 square
feet for added crew comfort.

ExpandoLink is configured with 8 Sony cameras, Sony 7350 36
input 3.5 M/E switcher and 40 inputs of audio.

SDTV is an innovator in hybrid trucks, releasing the first
combination mobile unit into the marketplace. For smaller scale single- or
multi-camera productions, HD Link is packed with high-end industry equipment to
make multi-camera SD & HD remote broadcasting a breeze, with or without Ku
Band uplink.

HD Link is configured with Sony’s MFS-2000 HD-SDI/SDI
Switcher, 4 Sony WS Cameras (Sony HD HDC-1550’s are also available) and a
Yamaha 56 input digital audio board.
