Genesis Networks and SmartJog Join Forces

Genesis Networks and
SmartJog formed a new cooperative solution for seamless delivery of
live feeds, as well as prerecorded video content, over a global fiber optic
infrastructure. The joint solution provides broadcasters with a single
high-quality source from which to access all of the live and recorded content
needed to produce and deliver a wide variety of television programming.
Genesis Networks, a
next-generation provider of global transmission for full-time point-to-point
broadcasting as well as occasional feeds, offers a highly reliable and
cost-effective alternative to satellite for live transmissions. SmartJog is a provider of global distribution and digital file transfer services for
the media and entertainment industries, providing a secure on-demand service
for delivery of any type or format of prerecorded video content. Working together,
Genesis Networks and SmartJog are able to provide a complete single-source
solution for broadcasting operations managers that includes built-in redundancy
offered by the combined networks.
“In working with
Genesis Networks, we’ve realized that we have many mutual customers that could
benefit from a shared resource delivering all video assets necessary for
programming,” said Julien Seligmann, CEO of SmartJog. “Genesis
Networks’ reputation for high performance and reliability makes them our ideal
partner to offer a packaged delivery solution for live and non-live
content.”
“This solution
reflects the natural synergy of the Genesis Networks and SmartJog service
offerings,” said Xavier DeVynck, vice president, EMEA, Genesis Networks.
“SmartJog is well-known for its global distribution network for fast,
reliable data transmission, which provides an excellent complement to our
