Globecomm Systems names Wilson VP of American Sales

Globecomm Systems has named Stephen Wilson, formerly vice president of operations for Globecomm Services Maryland, has been appointed Vice President of American Sales for Globecomm.

Mr. Wilson brings 26 years of experience in the broadcast and government services industries to his new position with Globecomm. In his new role, he will report to Bill Raney, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing, and will support Mr. Raney in maintaining and expanding Globecomm sales in the American region.

“Steve combines operational experience with Globecomm Services Maryland and sales experience with Globecomm,” said Mr. Raney. “He will make a major contribution to Globecomm’s growth in the service providers, media and enterprise markets for the American continent.”

Globecomm Services Maryland was formerly the GlobalSat division of Lyman Brothers, until the completion of its acquisition by Globecomm on May 3, 2007.
