Ascent Media Expands Sales Team

Ascent Media Group has hired two senior additions to its Viia Strategic Sales Team. Bridget Allen and Jason Jones both join Ascent Media as vice presidents in the Global Strategic Sales team and will focus on business development in the US and EMEA respectively.

Allen and Jones will support sales of the Viia suite of file-based media services by targeting global content owners looking to generate revenue streams in new territories on multiple delivery platforms.

Bridget Allen joins the team from Harris Corporation where she was VP, Strategic Sales, responsible for developing multi-million dollar accounts. Prior to this, she held sales positions at Encoda Systems and Akamai Technologies in the US and brings extensive experience in Media Software Sales.

Jason Jones also joins Ascent Media from Harris Corporation having previously served as Director, Systems and Applications (EMEA Sales), where he managed a team of technical sales consultants. Jones has wide ranging multi-channel TV experience and an in-depth knowledge of commercial sales and technical broadcast processes.

The Viia suite of file-based services makes it possible to efficiently digitise, store, manage and re-purpose content for distribution across multiple formats via Ascent Media’s Global Network. Content can be delivered to numerous providers simultaneously in multiple languages, worldwide and is being used by a range of global broadcast and content companies including Sony Pictures Entertainment, Paramount Pictures and BBC Worldwide.
