Ramos Named Comcast Sports Group VP, Research and Marketing Solutions

Comcast Sports Group named Ramon Ramos to the newlycreated position of vice president of research and marketing solutions. Ramos will be responsible for all market research and analysis for Comcast Sports Group’s growing family of local sports networks. Comcast Sports Group’s 10 networks cover 18 professional teams and serve 40 million viewers in leading markets across the country.
“With accountability and data-based decision making becoming the norm in advertising sales, Ramon’s experience will be a tremendous asset as we leverage our on-air growth and innovation into new opportunities for advertisers,” says Comcast Sports Group Chief Revenue Officer Ray Warren. “Ramon will be building and leading a team to transform the way we do business and his familiarity with the latest trends and tools in advertising make him a great addition to our company.”
Ramos begins his new position this week in New York and reports to Warren. He joins Comcast Sports Group from Comcast Spotlight, where for the past two and a half year he has served as director of research in the Washington, D.C. region, supporting advertising sales for cross-channel cable television advertising. Previously he worked in the sales and research fields for local television stations in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia.
Ramos, 32, holds a BA from Villanova University.
