Neutrik Introduces Low-Voltage Camera Hybrid Cable

Neutrik expands opticalCON’s line of pre-assembled mobile field cables to include a cost-effective camera-link setup, opticalCON low-voltage camera/single-mode hybrid cable.
opticalCON cable connectors are pre-assembled with a choice of six mobile field cables. The range of cables includes rugged hybrid, robust and lightweight mobile field cables with two multi- or single-mode fibers, a four-pole Y-split, and a SMPTE cable. opticalCON now offers a cost-effective low-voltage camera/single-mode hybrid cable optimized for camera link systems (ENG/SNG), camera adapter systems, camera cranes, and powered downconverter boxes for broadcast applications where only ELV (Extra Low Voltage, <50 VAC) is required.

The opticalCON features a rugged connection, all-metal housing, and heavy-duty cable retention. opticalCON uses conventional LC connectors, which are easy to clean, and has a push-pull locking mechanism. It features an automatic-sealing shutter, which prevents transceiver contamination on-site and also helps users prevent vandalism by “protecting” the transceiver. In addition, the colored labeling plates are included to identify the fiber mode.
