NEP Broadcast upgrades Chyron to HyperX2

NEP
has installed 11 Chyron HD/SD-switchable HyperX2 systems for use in the
delivery of sports production and entertainment shows. The HyperX2 systems with Lyric PRO enable
many of NEP’s remote television broadcast facilities to simultaneously
manipulate dozens of 3D layers of text, logos textures and movie objects, all
in real-time.
“HyperX2’s
ability to provide multiple 3D layers is what our clients are demanding, and
from an ownership perspective the ability to switch between SD and HD is a
strong plus. HyperX2 fits the bill perfectly in both regards and gives us a standard
platform across multiple clients,” says

George Hoover, chief technology officer, NEP Broadcasting.

“NEP has a large number of Chyron graphic systems that have served us well.
Because so many of the world’s broadcast networks and production companies rely
on us to provide advanced facilities, we wanted a cost-effective, future-proof
upgrade path and, again, HyperX2 is just the ticket,” adds Hoover.

Kevin Prince, Chyron’s chief operating officer added, “NEP is renowned for its dedication to supporting its clients’ telecasts of
major events and programs with the latest technology and HyperX2 is a key part
of that commitment.”
