NBC Sports, TicketCity Partner on Ticket Sales

NBC Sports and TicketCity have announced a partnership that will
give fans the opportunity to buy tickets for the top sporting events
in the country. TicketCity is now the featured ticket provider on the
NBCSports.com website and on NBC Sports-owned Rotoworld.com and
Sandbox.com. The deal pairs TicketCity’s inventory of event tickets
with some of the premier sports sites on the web.

“Millions of people are buying sports tickets online every year.
This partnership brings fans of NBC Sports closer to a reliable source
for tickets,” says Perkins Miller, Senior Vice President, NBC Sports
and Olympics.

As part of the exclusive deal, TicketCity links are featured
throughout the NBC Sports site including on individual team pages.
Additionally, TicketCity placements will appear on Rotoworld and
Sandbox, with branded “hot event” boxes on each main category page.
TicketCity and NBC Sports will also offer special packages only to be
seen on NBCSports.com for major sporting events, including Super Bowl
XLIII, to be televised by NBC on February 1, 2009.

“TicketCity has been one of the premium brands in ticketing for
nearly 20 years, and we own the largest ticket inventory in our
industry,” says Randy Cohen, TicketCity CEO. “We are excited to
partner with one of the top brands in the online space. NBC Sports
is a great destination for consumers following sports, and now
they’ll be able to find great tickets as well.

Sports tickets are one of the hottest sectors in the U.S. online
secondary ticket market. A February 2008 study by Forrester Research
revealed that sales of sports tickets made up 67% of the secondary
market in 2007. Forrester predicts sports tickets to be almost 3/4 of
online secondary ticket sales by 2012.
