Panasonic Announces Final VariCamp 2.0 Workshops For 2008

Continuing
its effort to educate professionals in camera techniques, Panasonic has
announced dates for its VariCamp training program. VariCamp 2.0 is the latest
evolution of the company’s professional camera training workshops, reflecting
the latest advances in technology and products. VariCamp 2.0 will be presented
in national workshops throughout the last quarter of 2008, with dates and
cities announced for November and December.
Since its
2003 launch in
Los Angeles, VariCamp has been
presented in a number of
U.S.
cities. The training offered in VariCamp is sought-after by working cinematographers
and key crew members who must remain informed at the highest possible level
about the tools of their craft. VariCamp 2.0 will continue to provide quality training
in an updated curriculum that addresses the tapeless P2 workflow.
The
three-day, extensive workshop covers all aspects of the Panasonic AJ-HDC27
VariCam HD Cinema camera and the new P2 VariCam camcorders (AJ-HPX2700 and
AJ-HPX3700), including the 4:4:4 capabilities of the 3700. Topics covered
include hands-on labs for motion, color and density, camera set-up and menus,
post production workflow for the VariCam and more. The VariCamp workshops are
taught by working professionals and attract a professional audience of working
cinematographers, engineers, and VariCam owners.
VariCamps
have been announced for
Miami (November 9-11,
2008) and
Los Angeles
(December 12-14, 2008). Tuition for the Workshops is $1,500, or $1,400
with early registration. Additional information is available at
