Angell Keynotes Sports Broadcast Europe Conference

Peter Angell, director of Production at World Cup 2006 and 2010 Host

conference in London on December 9.

Fully owned by Infront Sports & Media, the Swiss-based Host

Korea/Japan and the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, the latter being
the first ever FIFA World Cup to be delivered entirely in HD. HBS has
been appointed by FIFA to be the host broadcaster for the 2009 FIFA
Confederations Cup and the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa as well
as the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Peter Angell will be followed on the Sports Broadcast Europe programme
by Gearhouse Broadcast Technical Director Kevin Moorhouse. This year
Gearhouse Broadcast has provided facilities for the Australian Open
Tennis, ATP Tennis Masters Series, the European Football Championship
and the Beijing Olympics. Moorhouse will address how Gearhouse sets
about providing a fail-safe broadcast infrastructure for a major
event; co-ordination with the IBC; converging high-quality HD
contributions for transmission around the world; and managing the
complexities of transmitting 5.1 audio.
Other topics to be discussed at the one day event include: -3D Sports

-A look back at Euro 2008 and forward to the 2010 World Cup
