Ross Video Gets Fin Win For New Production Studio

Finnish Commercial Television Station MTV3 (Mainos-TV) has selected a Ross Vision 3 QMD-X multi-definition switcher for their news production studio. Based in Helsinki, Finland MTV3 made the move to HD replacing their old production switcher with a Ross Vision. The logical design and new features made the transition easy for MTV3’s operators and they were able to go on air September 6, 2008. MTV3 will install a Ross OverDrive Automated Production System in early 2009.

“Everyone in the broadcast industry is familiar with Ross products,” said Markku Ryöti, head of TV-Technical Planning, Technical Operations. “This along with the modular design and feature set of the Vision switchers made our decision to go with Ross an easy one.”
