TNT MLK Day Tripleheader Delivers Most-Watched NBA Game of the Season on Cable

matchup, making it the most watched
NBA game of the season on cable (3,654,000 viewers) and the most watched NBA telecast on TNT since opening night of the 2003-04
season. This year’s MLK Day tripleheader saw a 76% increase in viewers (2,174,000 vs. 1,233,000) and a 58% increase in households (1,579,000
vs. 1,014,000) over last year’s doubleheader.

Overall, the NBA on TNT is up 11% in total viewers
for the season from the same date last year (1,618,000 vs. 1,464,000) and up in
the key demos:

pregame show will be followed by a possible Eastern Conference Finals preview
featuring 2008 Slam Dunk champion
Dwight Howard and the Orlando
Magic as they take on 2008 MVP
Paul Pierce and the Boston
Celtics.
On Thurs. Feb. 5,
the network will showcase a 2008 Finals Rematch as the reigning champion Boston Celtics take on the LA Lakers at home and try to even the score after losing to LA on Christmas Day.
