SPEEDtv.com Adds New Content Via go2geiger.com

SPEEDtv.com has teamed with award-winning journalist Rob Geiger and his www.go2geiger.com Web site, adding substantial drag racing coverage to the definitive motor sports and vehicle enthusiast site.

“From the grass roots to the pinnacle of the sport, drag racing attracts an enthusiastic and well-informed audience,” says Joe Tripp, Director of Interactive Operations. “As the Online Motorsports Authority, it’s crucial that SPEEDtv.com offers in-depth, timely content for this audience … beyond press releases and newswires. Our partnership with Rob Geiger makes that a reality and we’re thrilled to have him onboard.”

Geiger founded go2geiger.com in the spring of 2008 after eight years as senior editor of NHRA.com with a goal of providing drag racing enthusiasts an unbiased news outlet. Featuring a staff of respected and pedigreed journalists, go2geiger.com strives to deliver clear, concise, and well-researched stories on all aspects of quarter-mile racing.

A published author, Geiger became well known in the drag racing world through his daily work on NHRA.com, his meticulous stat-keeping, the Associated Press stories he supplied to the general media, the content that filled event programs, and his numerous regular appearances on radio programs across the country.

“It’s an honor to be the drag racing voice of SPEEDtv.com,” Geiger adds. “To be associated with such a respected brand and to align ourselves with some of the top journalists in motorsports is special and I believe it will only help us grow our go2geiger.com brand.

“We’re still a very young Web site but we’ve already gained wide recognition among drag racing fans as the place to go for both breaking news and interesting feature stories on the biggest stars in the sport. We also have a very popular blog section with championship-winning drivers like John Force and Larry Dixon that have proven to be very popular. Through this alliance with SPEEDtv.com I’m confident that more and more people from around the world will find our site and enjoy the content.”

Aside from providing original content to SPEEDtv.com, Geiger also has become one of the Voices of Speed, offering weekly commentary on drag racing through his Geiger Counter column.
