Orad, Ross Video Integrate Graphics With Production Control

Orad Hi-Tec Systems and Ross Video have tied Orad’s Maestro graphics system and Ross’s OverDrive Automated Production Control (APC) system together, allowing Maestro’s graphic elements to be inserted into the newsroom rundown using Orad’s intuitive drag-&-drop ActiveX plug-in.

“Broadcasters will now be able to take advantage of Maestro’s graphics
system with its real-time preview of animated graphics, user-rights management, template-based architecture for 3D graphics, and tight
integration into all major newsroom systems (including iNews, ENPS, and
Dalet) without increasing the operational expenses of their day-to-day
productions,” says Avi Sharir, CEO/president of Orad Hi-Tech
Systems.

The OverDrive APC system under the control of a single operator efficiently manages the production with perfect synchronization between Maestro’s high-quality 3D graphics and all other production devices. The unique MOS workflow between OverDrive and Maestro allows for last-second “on-the-fly” changes to be taken to air cleanly.

“The integration between Maestro and OverDrive will enable broadcasters to improve the quality and efficiency of their live productions by taking advantage of OverDrive’s powerful and unique MOS CG workflow,” adds Brad Rochon, OverDrive product manager. “We are very pleased to see the addition of the Orad Maestro platform to our extensive and industry-leading list of MOS-enabled device interfaces.”
