Orad Unleashes its New PowerWall High-Resolution Graphic Display for Broadcasters

Orad has
unleashed a cost-effective solution for delivering compelling graphical content
on video walls in very high resolution — PowerWall. Offering 4K resolution from
a single box, PowerWall enables broadcasters to zoom in on the screen without
the graphic content becoming pixelated. PowerWall is ideal for news,
entertainment, sports, and election productions and can be easily integrated
into any production workflow.

The
PowerWall turnkey system is based on the HDVG platform that provides a 4K
resolution output from a single box. This single unit outputs four genlocked HD
signals, which are then provided to the “splitter box” used for the
video wall. These four outputs can be tiled across the video wall to whatever
video wall size is required. By running from a single box, all on-screen
elements (tickers, videos, animated items, etc.) remain synchronized across the
whole of the video wall.

PowerWall
supports up to four HD or eight SD live video insertions, as well as video
clips in most industry accepted formats, which can be mapped to different
graphical elements on the video wall. All of these video elements become
integral parts of the templates and do not need to be overlaid as
‘picture-in-picture’ objects.

Powerful
and realistic 3D graphics and animations can be created using 3Designer, Orad’s
graphic creation package. With 3Designer, the entire video wall can be created
as a single scene, and therefore there is no tearing where video wall tiles
meet. In addition, the different scene elements can be dynamically updated and
controlled during production.

The
PowerWall’s content can be taken to air with Orad’s 3DPlay or Maestro
applications, which can both be integrated with existing newsroom and
automation systems. For more information, visit www.orad.tv.
