PGATOUR.COM Sets Record for Single Day Video Streaming for Round One Coverage of Accenture Match Play

PGATour.com had a
record-breaking day for its online video coverage of the first round of the
World Golf Championships – Accenture Match
Play Championship on Wednesday,
February 25, streaming
2.5
million videos in one day. The site offered comprehensive online
hole-by-hole video of Tiger Woods’ first round in the tournament with video
posting shortly after the completion of each hole.

PGATour.com also
experienced a traffic surge with more than
1 million unique users, the second largest day ever behind the
U.S. Open playoff between Woods and Rocco Mediate (1.5 million) on Monday, June
16. In addition, PGATour.com recorded
nearly
24 million page views,
up 119% from the opening round
of the 2008 Accenture Match Play (10.7 million) in which Woods ultimately was
crowned champion.
