Multidyne Names Petrilak Senior Staff Engineer

MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems has appointed Robert Petrilak to the position of Senior Staff Engineer. In this newly created position, Petrilak will assist the MultiDyne Engineering team in the development of fiber optic transport for the new DVI evolutionary products.

“Rob has an extensive background in the broadcast engineering field, and a proven track record for the development of successful products,” says Jim Jachetta, senior vice president of engineering. “MultiDyne is in a growth position, and Rob’s engineering expertise will be a benefit to the timely roll out of our new generation of products.”

Petrilak had been a design engineer, and engineering manager for Ditech Routing Systems for 8 years, leaving to join PESA Switching Systems in 2000 as an OEM engineering product manager. His most recent position was senior hardware engineer for QuStream Corporation. Petrilak earned a BSEE from Florida Institute of Technology, with additional post graduate work and 16 years experience in the video industry.
