Brazil’s Rede Record Goes HD-Based With Orad

Systems will be providing Rede Record, Brazil’s second largest
broadcaster, with upgraded channel branding and on-air graphics systems, and a
new virtual studio based on infrared technology. The sale represents a major
volume operation.

Rede Record
has chosen, once again, to rely on Orad’s channel branding, on-air graphics,
and weather prediction and virtual studio solutions for all of their domestic
and international channels. Rede Record chose Orad’s solutions to enable them
to optimize their existing resources, reduce their production and operation
costs, and at the same time smoothly upgrade to HD. Orad’s installation at Rede
Record will be the largest of its type in the Americas.
The newly
installed virtual studio is the largest free camera tracking virtual studio
installed to date.
“We
approached Orad because we felt that only they could supply the superior
performance, reliability, and dedicated support that we require,” says Reinaldo
Gilli, Rede Record VP of engineering.
