to Launch on Cubs’ Opening Day

ESPN will launch Chicago-focused online sports destination Monday, April 13, when the Chicago Cubs open their home schedule.

The site will feature exclusive original content, as well as content integrated from across ESPN’s multiple platforms.

With the launch of, ESPN Digital Media is also debuting new technology that allows for dynamic, geo-targeted content and ad insertion in both live audio streaming and downloadable audio.

Exclusive content on the site will include: ESPN Chicago SportsCenter, a Chicago-centric version of the network’s flagship show; clubhouse pages for local professional and college teams; and coverage of Chicago prep sports later this year.

StubHub is the launch partner for and will be the official ticket provider for the site.
