Take Telemetrics Out to the Ballgame

Telemetrics announced that it is one of the manufacturers providing gear for the “Ballpark Cam” remotely controlled camera systems being installed in all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums by MLB Network; released the EP-S3 weatherproof elevating pedestal; announced that its camera-control systems were implemented at the new Broadcast Center at Princeton University; and announced that the North Penn School District Media Services department incorporated its Coax Link camera-control system.

San Diego-based CBT Systems is installing the Ballpark Cam systems to provide point-of-view shots from all of the MLB ballparks. Camera control via IP connection to all 30 ballparks is being handled from MLB Network’s New Jersey studio using Telemetrics remote-control panels and control software.

The EP-S3’s remotely controlled motorized column can be elevated in height from 4 feet to 12 feet and is ideal for outdoors and in-studio. It is being used for the “Dugout Cam” portion of Ballpark Cam.

Telemetrics also announced that its TeleGlide camera-trolley system was enhanced with a high-speed option that allows the unit to accelerate at 9.8 feet per second with a maximum speed of 23.3 ft/sec.

The company’s HD Fiber Link is now compatible with Panasonic’s AG-HPX500 and AG-HPX300 HD broadcast cameras, and its remote-control panels are now compatible with Panasonic’s line of broadcast pan/tilt heads, as well as its AWE-HE100 PTZ camera and Canon’s BU-45 PTZ camera.

Telemetrics also beefed up its Legislative Software System with a customized touch-screen map interface of the legislative chamber for accurate camera control.

At Princeton University, Telemetrics’ camera-control systems were deployed with Panasonic AK-HC1500G cameras with Canon KH 19X6.7KTS Lenses and Telescript 15” Teleprompters.

And in Pennsylvania, the North Penn School District Media Services department can now operate without having to use its mobile truck, capturing activities at every location, since incorporating Telemetrics’ coax-link camera-control system.
