Sony Trucks, Czech Television Tap Studer Vista

Studer Vista digital-surround audio consoles were included in Sony HD digital OB trucks produced at its manufacturing facility in Basingstoke, England, and Czech Television’s HD OB Van used Studer Vista 8 to broadcast the entire FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec, Czech Republic, Feb. 18-March 1, in HD.

Studer and Sony teamed up to provide a fully integrated digital-audio path within the OB trucks all the way from the microphone on the stage to the final HD recording or embedded satellite link. Sony‘s trucks are being used by broadcasters including EPTV in Algeria, RTR in Moscow, ATM in Poland, and RTS and TVB92 in the Balkans.

As for the ski tournament, more than 50 hours of live broadcasts were created with help from Vista 8.
