Daktronics Starts Its Engines at Martinsville Speedway

Daktronics designed, manufactured, and installed an integrated video, scoring, and advertising-display system located 80 feet in the air in the center of the infield at Martinsville Speedway.

Three 30-foot-wide by 18-foot-high LED video screens are positioned in a triangular configuration, offering every seat around the racetrack a clear view. Each of the video boards can operate as a single giant display or be divided into multiple zones to display statistics, information, graphics, animations, and live and recorded video. A five-foot-high digital LED ring display below the screens scrolls additional information and graphics.

Martinsville Speedway hosts NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Craftsman Truck Series, Whelen Modified Tour, and late-model races.
