CSN Bay Area Prospers When Ducks, Sharks Collide

Game five of the Stanley Cup Playoffs series between the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks—eventually won by the No. 8 seed Ducks over the top-seeded Sharks in six games— earned an average 3.7 television household rating for Comcast SportsNet Bay Area Saturday night, with more than 89,500 households watching in the San Francisco/San Jose television market.

The regional sports network says the game peaked at more than 116,100 households (4.8 rating), adding that average Sharks playoff ratings are up 164% compared with the regular season.
