Capitals Force Game Seven, Set Season High for CSN

Comcast SportsNet executives are likely thrilled that the NHL Stanley Cup Eastern Conference semifinals series between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins is headed to a seventh game, as game six Monday night drew the regional sports network’s highest rating of the season: a 5.3 average household rating in the Washington, D.C., area, and a 3.4 in the Baltimore area.

A total of 162,000 households tuned in Comcast SportsNet to see the Capitals force game seven with a 5-4 overtime victory, peaking at 238,000 households during the overtime.

Comcast SportsNet will air game seven exclusively throughout the Washington-Baltimore area Wednesday night.
