Game seven of the National Hockey League Stanley Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Semifinal spelled the end of the Boston Bruins’s season, as they lost 3-2 in overtime to the Carolina Hurricanes, but NESN went out with a ratings bang.

The regional sports network posted a 14.2 household rating in the Boston DMA, shattering its former Bruins record: an 11.2 for the 2004 Eastern Conference Quarterfinal game seven.
