ESPN Heads to Rome for UEFA Champions League Final

ESPN will cover the UEFA Champions League Final from Rome Wednesday, May 27, which pits defending champions Manchester United against FC Barcelona and marks the 15th straight year the event has been televised on ESPN’s U.S. and International networks.

ESPN will present the exclusive, English-language telecast in HD in the United States live at 2:25 p.m. ET from Stadio Olimpico in Rome, with play-by-play commentator Derek Rae, analyst Tommy Smyth, and reporter Dave Roberts calling the action.

Spanish-language network ESPN Deportes will televise the match exclusively in Spanish in the United States, with Fernando Palomo handling play-by-play, Quique Wolff providing analysis, and Juan Yankilevich serving as the reporter. ESPN Deportes Radio will also broadcast the game, with play-by-play man Jorge Ramos and analyst Hernan Pereyra.

And ESPN2 will air a one-hour special 2009 UEFA Champions League Final preview show Tuesday, May 26, at 7:30 p.m.
