TNT Ready to Race with 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series

TNT is stocking its garage and assembling its pit crew for its six-week package of 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, marking parent company Turner Broadcasting System’s 26th consecutive year of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series coverage.

The network will air races from Pocono, PA, Sunday, June 7; Michigan Sunday, June 14; Sonoma, CA, Sunday, June 21; London Sunday, June 28; Daytona, FL, Saturday, July 4; and Chicago Saturday, July 11.

Countdown to Green, the network’s pre-race show, will rev up 90 minutes prior to the start of the races, with reports from host Bill Weber, Kyle Petty (analyst), Wally Dallenbach (analyst), Larry McReynolds (analyst/cut-away car specialist), and pit reporters Marty Snider, Matt Yocum, Ralph Sheheen, and Lindsay Czarniak.

Pre-race segment Wally’s World will return this year, with Dallenbach breaking down the strategy of each race in virtual reality. TNT’s pre-race show will also feature Pride of NASCAR, looking at racing legends including Darrell Waltrip, Dan Gurney, and Dave Marcis.

And NASCAR.COM will feature multiplatform experience TNT RaceBuddy, which added a dedicated pit reporter, social-media interaction, and new views of the race.
