Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast Gets SEC Games
Story Highlights
Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast reached a five-year deal with ESPN to air live Southeastern Conference games beginning with the 2009-10 academic year. The pact covers a minimum of six football games, 20 men’s basketball games, and 16 women’s basketball games, as well as 50 SEC Olympic Games sports each year.
ESPN secured the rights to SEC content as part of a 15-year agreement it reached with the conference last August.
CSS is a partnership between Comcast and Charter Communications that reaches approximately 5.9 million cable subscribers across 12 southeastern states.
