Blackmagic Design Rolls Out Converters for Ross Video openGear

Blackmagic Design debuted eight new converters that support Ross Video’s openGear terminal-equipment platform at NAB, and they will ship in July.

Ross video says openGear is an open-architecture, 2 RU modular frame system supported by more than 20 different terminal-equipment manufacturers, allowing clients to choose from a wide range of manufacturers’ products to meet the needs of a broadcast, production, or distribution facility while maintaining a compatible openGear frame infrastructure.

Blackmagic manufactures video-editing products, converters, and routers for the postproduction and television-broadcast industries.
