WPS to Get Live Kicks on Comcast Sports Group Networks

Comcast Sports Group reached a deal to air four live Women’s Professional Soccer games on selected networks on a regional basis, with additional live or tape-delayed coverage airing on some of its other regional sports networks.

The four Comcast Sports Group games, combined with WPS’s 20 national television games and four other regional telecasts, brings the league’s total number of games available on television to 28 of its 70 regular-season contests.

Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, New England, Chicago, and Mid-Atlantic will air the games live, with live or tape-delayed coverage on Comcast Sports Group channels in Philadelphia; Atlanta; Portland, OR; and Sacramento, CA.

Comcast Sports Group will also provide syndicated regional coverage of the WPS first round and WPS Championship in four markets: Bay Area, Chicago, New England, and Philadelphia.

The four live WPS games to be featured on Comcast Sports Group channels are:
Sunday, June 7, FC Gold Pride vs. Chicago Red Stars, 8 p.m. ET
Wednesday, June 24, Boston Breakers vs. Washington Freedom, 7 p.m.
Sunday, July 12, Chicago vs. FC Gold Pride, 8 p.m.
Wednesday, July 29, Washington vs. Boston, 8 p.m.
