Comcast Launches ESPNU in Mississippi

Comcast launched ESPNU on its cable systems in Hattiesburg and Laurel, MS, enabling college baseball fans to watch Southern Mississippi play Florida in the NCAA Super Regionals Saturday. The cable operator says its will launch ESPNU in a majority of its systems in time for the start of the 2009 college football season.

“The launch of ESPNU on Comcast in Hattiesburg/Laurel will allow fans in this area to enjoy more college sports content from an array of conferences, including the SEC,” ESPNU vice president and general manager Rosalyn Durant said in a prepared statement. “We are delighted to share the diverse programming that ESPNU offers to Comcast subscribers in this market just in time for the NCAA Baseball Championship.”
