ABC Wins Night with NBA Finals Game Three

Game three of the NBA Finals drew more viewers than any show on TV Tuesday night, as 14.196 million viewers tuned in to see the Orlando Magic defend their home court with a 108-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

ABC says all three games thus far have been the most-watched shows on their respective evenings, adding that the three Finals contests are TV’s most-viewed programs thus far in June.

This year’s game three—which earned an 8.6 household rating and attracted 9.804 million households—was up 50% over last season’s game three between the San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Games four and five will air on ABC from Orlando, FL, Thursday at 9 p.m. ET and Sunday at 8 p.m., respectively. The Lakers lead the series two games to one.
