ProFootballTalk.com Moves Under NBCSports.com Umbrella

NBCSports.com will now handle hosting, sales, and promotion for ProFootballTalk.com, and NBCSports.com and NBC Sports will lean on PFT’s NFL coverage under terms of a wide-ranging multimedia partnership announced Monday.

NBCSports.com’s Tom Curran and Gregg Rosenthal will make editorial contributions to the site, which was renamed ProFootballTalk on NBCSports.com.

“We have had other opportunities over the years to partner with established businesses but the fit was never perfect,” ProFootballTalk.com creator Mike Florio said in a prepared statement. “With NBC Sports, it is. A strong sense of unity flows from everyone we’ve encountered there. [NBC Sports Digital general manager] Rick Cordella rolled out the welcome mat for us, and Dick Ebersol opened the front door. We hope our shoes are clean.”
