SportsMEDIA Technology Corporation Enhances NBA TV Draft Experience With The GOTO Board

NBA TV is using a new tool to enhance its coverage of the 2009 NBA Draft. The SportsMEDIA Technology Corporation GOTO Board, also known as the NBA TV TouchPass, debuted last week. The technology allows analysts to visually show and compare in-depth statistical information about NBA draft prospects.

The high definition 80-inch rear-projection screen displays players’ headshots, stats, highlights, strengths, and weaknesses. The studio talent utilizes the screen to compare players of various skills levels to present the viewer with a visual analysis of which NBA prospect is best matched to a particular NBA team roster.

“The GOTO Board with its Drag-n-View technology provides studio talent with an interactive setting for presenting and manipulating visual information in a very dynamic way,” says Don Tupper, VP of business development for SportsMEDIA Technology Corporation. “This makes the overall television experience more exciting and engaging for viewers. NBA TV Analysts used the GOTO Board during the 2008 – 2009 Season but this is a first for the NBA Draft.”

Analysts will use the GOTO Board throughout the entire Draft process including pre-draft coverage, mock draft coverage, and post-draft coverage.
