Vestberg Named President/CEO at Ericsson

The new year will bring a new president and CEO for Ericsson: Hans Vestberg, currently chief financial officer and executive vice president, was appointed by the telecommunications technology company’s board of directors.

Current president and CEO Carl-Henric Svanberg is leaving Ericsson to become chairman of BP.

Vestberg has been with Ericsson since 1991, holding positions including CFO in Brazil, CFO in North America, controller for the Americas, and senior VP/head of the global-services business unit.
