Neyrinck Releases Update for SoundCode for Dolby E

Surround-sound-software developer Neyrinck released an update for its SoundCode for Dolby E that adds support for Windows XP and Windows Vista, as well as features for Avid Media Composer, Apple Final Cut Pro, and other media-workstation-system users.

SoundCode for Dolby E is a stand-alone software package and Pro Tools plug-in set for Dolby E encoding and decoding, designed for postproduction studios, TV mixers, and broadcast and content-distribution organizations that deliver and monitor Dolby E content on videotape or as files.

Version 1.1.3, available for both Windows and Mac OS X, can decode a Dolby E stream faster-than-real-time to BWF files that can be directly imported into Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, and other media workstations. It can also play back a Dolby E stream file in real-time for auditioning using Core Audio or Windows MME sound hardware. The Dolby E encoder has been improved to deliver multi-mono BWF files, in addition to interleaved BWF files for direct import into Pro Tools. Version 1.1.3 also brings Pro Tools plug-in support to Windows XP and Vista, and it is fully compatible with Pro Tools 8 HD and LE.

The version 1.1.3 update is available free-of-charge for existing owners of SoundCode for Dolby E, and it can be downloaded from Neyrinck’s Website.
