Vancouver 2010: Local Stations Prep for Games

The economic slump has severely stretched local stations’ budgets, but they will still maintain a sizeable presence at the 2010 Winter Games. After a very tough few months, local stations are envisioning a healthy ratings boost from the Vancouver Games, according to Broadcasting and Cable.

NBC affiliates obviously represent the largest presence of local stations in Vancouver, and many will customize their NBCOlympics.com microsites with local content. KUSA, for one, plans to have a Webcam offering users a peek inside the reporters’ workspace in Vancouver.
