Aspera Handles ESPN’s Content Delivery for 2010 FIFA World Cup

ESPN will have a tall task this June when the network faces the issue of moving those content between facilities in South Africa and its headquarters in Bristol, CT and Los Angeles, CA for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. In order to navigate this possible minefield, ESPN has turned to Aspera.
The company, which specializes in large-scale high-speed content delivery, began working with ESPN when the sports network was building its digital broadcast center in Los Angeles in 2003. ESPN needed a cost-effective way to link its new facility with its main headquarters in Bristol. Now, Aspera will be asked to do the same for ESPN’s South Africa outfit.
