CBS Super Bowl Coverage Treads Familiar Ground

CBS Sports’ coverage of Super Bowl XLIV is “eerily similar” to that of the 2007, the last time the network had the game. According to Ken Aagard, EVP of engineering, operations and production services for CBS Sports, much of the network’s preparation for the big game will be similar to Super Bowl XLI, with a few exceptions as a result of the Pro Bowl, which will be played the week before the big game this year rather than after.

Broadcasting & Cable reports that CBS will use the same number of people as 2007 – roughly 500 staffers—and employ many of the same production trucks.
