Univision To Offer Full World Cup Matches On Demand
Univision plans to offer full matches from the 2010 FIFA World Cup on demand to distributors as part of a comprehensive coverage package for the event, which starts June 11 in South Africa.
The Spanish Language media company will offer linear coverage on its broadcast networks, Univision, TeleFutura, and Galavision, as well as full streaming of all 64 matches on Univision.com and on-demand content on Univision Movil and Univision on Demand.
According to Multichannel News, Univision will keep the matches on its on-demand platform until the end of the month-long tournament, giving distributors the option as to how long they will make that content available to their digital customers. The matches will available the day after matches are played in both SD and HD.
