NAB Preview: Fast Forward Video To Roll Out All-in-One DVR for TV Production

Fast Forward Video will introduce the eagerly anticipated HD3, a compact all-in-one DVR designed specifically for on-set motion-picture and television production. Packing DVR and controller technology with an HD monitor in a hard portable case, the HD3 offers JPEG 2000 compression for optimal HD and SD image quality. It is available in either single- or dual-channel configuration, delivering all the advantages of HD images and the random-access non-linear benefits of solid-state or hard-disk drives. The system features a third-party monitor and uses removable, hot-swappable 2.5-in. SATA drives compatible with FFV’s complete HD line of products.

With an MSRP of only $4,995, the new Micron HD DVR is a cost-effective yet powerful device for record and playback. This single-rack unit records HD and SD using high-quality JPEG 2000 compression at speeds up to 100 Mbps. The Micron HD offers up to five hours of record time and is fully compatible with all of the company’s HD products.

FFV will also have the Omega HD DVR and Elite HD DVR on display.
