CSN Chicago Lays Out Extensive White Sox Opening Day Coverage

Comcast SportsNet Chicago will deliver expanded coverage for the 2010 White Sox season opener at home on Monday, April 5, featuring a one-hour Opening Day pre-game special, an expanded post-game, Chicago Tribune Live, SportsNite, and a replay of Mark Buehrle’s perfect game from last season. In addition, CSN Chicago also plans expanded coverage for its first Cubs game of the season on Wednesday, April 7, which will be telecast on CSN+ Chicago. Plus, every White Sox and Cubs home and road telecast on CSN Chicago and CSN+ Chicago will once again presented in HD this season.

Also, CSN Chicago’s newly-enhanced website, CSNChicago.com, will provide fans with extensive Opening Week coverage, including exclusive behind-the-scenes video from Opening Day at U.S. Cellular, along with feature stories, talent blogs, videos, game previews, and game recaps.

Prior to Opening Day, CSN Chicago will televise the 2009 White Sox home/season opener on Sunday, April 4 at 12 p.m. CDT featuring the team’s dramatic come-from-behind win against the Kansas City Royals.

For the White Sox opener, CSN Chicago will begin its marathon White Sox coverage beginning at 10 a.m. with a replay of Mark Buehrle’s historic perfect game from July 23, 2009 against the Tampa Bay Rays.  Following the Buehrle perfect game replay, CSN Chicago will air a special one-hour Opening Day edition of Feldco White Sox Pre-Game Live from U.S. Cellular Field. The White Sox host the division rival Cleveland Indians in the home and season opener with first pitch set for 1 p.m. The game will be immediately followed by an expanded edition of U.S. Cellular White Sox Post Game Live.
