World Cup 2010: Canon Lenses Deployed for HBS’s 3D Production

Canon HD lenses are being used exclusively by Host Broadcast Services (HBS) for its 3D production of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. For the groundbreaking project, HBS has brought in 3D production specialists CAN Communicate and creative director Duncan Humphreys.
A total of 32 Canon HJ22ex7.6B portable HD ENG lenses are being used at the World Cup by HBS. The lenses are being deployed along with Sony HDC-1500 HD cameras mounted on Element Technica 3D rigs for 3D HD production.
A variety of Canon lenses are also being used for the 2D HD production of the World Cup.
