SNY Unveils UConn Huskies Football TV Schedule

SNY, which announced a multi-year partnership with the University of Connecticut earlier this summer, has released its 2010 coverage slate for University of Connecticut football.

SNY’s live UConn football game coverage – which features approximately five games – will kick-off Sept. 11 at noon when the Huskies take on Texas Southern.  SNY will also air the following week’s UConn-Temple match-up live on Sept. 18 at noon.  All Huskies football games airing on SNY will be wrapped by in-depth pre- and post-game shows.

SNY will kick-off off its overall Huskies programming on Tuesday, Aug. 31 with UConn Press Pass, which features Head Coach Randy Edsall’s weekly press conference. UConn Press Pass will be shown on SNY each Tuesday at 4 p.m.

SNY will also unveil its live UConn Football Preview Show on Friday, Sept. 3 at 9:30pm – prior to the Huskies first game on Sept. 4 against Michigan.  The show will feature an exclusive one-on-one interview – from Ann Arbor – with Randy Edsall, player reactions, and an in-depth look at the upcoming season.

September will also see the debut of Huskies Power Hour, in which UConn games will be re-broadcast and condensed to a one-hour show. The UConn vs. Texas Southern Huskies Power Hour will premiere on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 7 a.m. and the UConn-Temple Huskies Power Hour will air on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 11 p.m.

For complete coverage, Huskies fans can tune into Geico SportsNite at 10pm and 1am.  For up-to-the-minute information about the Huskies, fans can check out www.sny.tv which features a UConn Huskies sports section that includes original content and exclusive video.

Throughout the year, SNY will feature annually more than 300 hours of UConn programming – including 120 hours of Huskies game coverage.

SNY also announced that Comcast plans to expand coverage of SNY by September 3 in the Middletown, Clinton, Groton, Norwich, Old Lyme and Vernon areas – making SNY available to all of customers throughout Connecticut.
