IBC 2010: OmniBus’s New iTX Enterprise Suite Integrates Workflow to Multi-Platform Output

OmniBus Systems at IBC 2010 demonstrated the iTX Enterprise Suite, which integrates the broadcast-production process from ingest through media management, workflow management, and asset management to automation and playout to SD/HD/3D television, radio, the Internet, and mobile TV.

Slated to be available in first quarter 2011, iTX Enterprise Suite extends the productivity gains and cost benefits of the iTX automation and playout platform, enabling broadcasters and media operators to unify the elements of production and delivery into a single, integrated system. Providing a consistent user environment, the iTX Enterprise Suite is designed to deliver increased efficiency, scalability, and speed of response.

“Instead of stitching together increasingly unwieldy and inefficient workflows using a variety of conventional systems that were never designed for multi-platform operations,” said OmniBus Chief Technology Officer Ian Fletcher, “broadcasters and media companies can now create a totally transparent end-to-end environment that is vastly more streamlined and completely flexible for easy adaptation to new business opportunities.”

The asset-management and workflow modules link multiple vendor systems, providing a comprehensive range of automated and manual task-management tools on the desktop and making it easy for customers or third-party developers to customize activities to be dropped into one of iTX Enterprise Suite’s preset workflows.

The optional iTX Radio module features a toolset for radio operation, and the automation engine handles both scheduled radio content and for live broadcast of late-breaking material.
