XOS Digital Powers New Kentucky Wildcats iPhone, Android Apps

University of Kentucky Athletics and XOS Digital have launched the official iPhone and Android mobile applications for the Kentucky Wildcats for the 2010-11 athletics season.

“By developing this mobile application, we hope to provide our dedicated fans with a way to stay continuously connected to Kentucky athletics,” says Kentucky Athletic Director Mitch Barnhart. “The mobile app will serve as a resource for fans, delivering full Wildcat coverage regardless of whether they make it to Lexington on game day or not.”

The application, built by XOS Digital, will feature video highlights minutes following the game, scores, live stats and breaking news for all Wildcat sports including football, basketball, and women’s basketball. Updated content will be provided to fans through the XOS-powered Kentucky Digital Sports Network customized specifically for University of Kentucky Athletics.

“University of Kentucky fans will now have the ability to instantly access video highlights featuring game recaps and previews with any smart phone, at any time,” says Ben Godwin, general manager of the SEC Digital Network. “With the launch of Kentucky’s mobile application, fans can now receive timely, customized content when following the Wildcats.” Additional features of the mobile application include:

The official Kentucky Wildcats mobile application will debut with an introductory price of $2.99. The iPhone application is available on the iTunes store, and the Android application is currently available. An official Kentucky Wildcats iPad application with additional features is currently under development with a targeted release date later in the fall.

A capital (uppercase) letter

A number

Minimum 8 characters
