SVG Year in Review: March

March brought plenty of madness, not all of it on the basketball court. The month began with ESPN’s first 3D test, a Harlem Globetrotters game, produced at the brand new ESPN Innovation Lab, and ended with the first live 3D broadcast of an NHL game as Cablevision and MSG Media teamed up to showcase a New York Rangers-New York Islanders NHL game live in 3D from Madison Square Garden.

In between, however, there was plenty of basketball-related madness as Thought Equity Motion opened the NCAA Vault video archive, CBS launched two versions of its March Madness on Demand mobile app, and SportsMEDIA provided the data backbone for the entire NCAA Tournament.
